Nothing says "I've been in prison" like an armful of tattoos. Worldwide, studies report that up to half of prisoners get tattoos while doing time. Because prison tattooing is illegal, inmates create their inking equipment with whatever they can scrounge: ink made from burned Styrofoam cups, shampoo, or anything else that can be turned into a dark liquid is injected through makeshift tattoo guns using parts from radios, PlayStations, or anything else with a rudimentary motor. And a needle can be crafted from just about anything sharp—even a staple.

There is no doubt that Barcelona is one of the world’s hubs for Graffiti and Street Art. The walls of the city have literally become a canvas for both unknown taggers and world famous urban artists. In 2003, Robert Burt founded Base Elements Urban Art Gallery in hopes of creating a space where young street artists could not only showcase their talents, but where they would be embraced and accepted as true artists. At present day the gallery acts as a workshop, meeting space and forum for new and cutting edge thought.
Situated in a winding, cobble-stoned street in the historic Gothic quarter , the gallery is full almost to the point of chaos with the modern and edgy. The pieces that adorn the walls are vibrant in color and varied in content. Both large and small, the works include those of some of the most talented urban artists in the world today including: PezKhamino, Pedro Cuevas, Kenor, Ovni, Tofu, Tec & Piu.

Tattoo ink canvas es el resultado de una serie de encuentros donde la amistad y el intercambio han sido parte de este experimento. Semanas y extensas noches 7 pintatuadores, con pincel en mano y diferentes técnicas plasmaron sobre telas y otros objetos no humanos.

el seis de junio en un ritual de luna llena donde por primera vez una mezcla de pintura en vivo, sonidos, visuales, deco , baile y poesía serán enmarcados en un mismo evento.
